The Naptown Pirates enter the 2026–27 ABA season focused on athlete advancement, community connection, and giving players a platform to keep developing and competing.

The organization is preparing for approximately 20 games and about $15,000 in season expenses. Sponsorships and community partnerships help support travel, game operations, player opportunities, promotions, and the overall fan experience.

We are Built Different.

As Owner & Chief Financial Officer, Nickey helps manage the organization’s financial direction, supports team activities through fundraising, participates in volunteer and community efforts, and promotes the Pirates throughout Indianapolis.

For Nickey, building the Pirates family means supporting Coach Dewey’s vision, his love for basketball, and his desire to help people of all ages pursue their dreams. She describes watching that vision come together as a blessing — seeing small doors close and bigger doors open.

She is looking forward to a 2026–27 season built on hard work, the will to win, and the team coming together on and off the court because the Naptown Pirates are more than just basketball.
